Payment Policies

Sarapeutic accepts payment for services in the form of cash, check, credit card and Sarapeutic gift certificate.   

Returned Check/Reversed Charge policy

Personal checks are generally accepted. If your check is dishonored or returned for insufficient funds or any other reason, you will be required to pay the full amount of the check plus any bank fees charged, and a $15 penalty. In this instance and going forward, checks will not be accepted from you as a form of payment. 

Sarapeutic can accept FSA/HSA cards. This means that our credit card processing system will be allowed to process the charge to these types of cards. You should check your plan to ensure that massage therapy (and gratuity, should you choose to add it) is an allowable purchase. Sarapeutic is not responsible for verification of eligibility. In the event that the charge is disallowed and reversed, you will be required to pay the cost of the session as well as any resultant fees from the reversal.

Cancellation and Late Arrivals Policies

I understand that occasionally you may have to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. And occasionally you may be running late. Life happens! In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

Cancellation Policy

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you may be charged up to the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. 

No-shows Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.

Late Arrivals Policy

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, we will then determine together if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for paying for the “full” session. 

Inclement Weather Policy

Cancellations for inclement weather will be made on a case-by-case basis, and will not be subject to the 24-hour cancellation policy. If you feel that you are unable to safely make it to your appointment due to weather related road conditions, please call, text or email as early as possible. Remember that I, too, will be on the roads, so the earlier you can let me know, the better.  

Sick Policy

If you do get sick, you may think that a massage would feel great, especially if you are achy or headache-y and sinus-congested... But your immune system is working overtime and we don't want to add more work for your already taxed system to do. Of course, I don't want to catch what you are suffering from, but also keep in mind that at the Tranquili-Chi Center we are doing healing and health care work, and some of the other clients we are serving may have compromised immune systems. 

So please, if you are sick (contagious phase/height of sickness and/or if you have a fever), do not come in for a massage. If you have one scheduled that you need to cancel, as early as possible please call, email or send me a text message to let me know that you are sick, and we can re-schedule when you feel better. Cancellations due to illness are not subject to the 24-hour cancellation policy (although if I suspect that this kindness is being abused, I do reserve the right to request a doctor's note supporting your claim.) In return, I will also respect this same policy and not work on you when I am sick. 

Minor Policy

Minors (children under the age of 18) must have the consent of a parent or guardian via a written minor informed consent form. This form must be completed and signed in the presence of the massage therapist.

For all clients under 18, a parent or guardian must accompany the minor to the first appointment. When treating all children under the age of 14, a parent or legal guardian must remain in the treatment room for the full duration of the session. For children between the ages of 14 and 17, the decision on whether the parent or legal guardian must remain in the treatment room for the full duration of the session will be made by the massage therapist, on a case-by-case basis.

Children can be scheduled for up to a 60-minute session. Please consult with me if you have questions about what length service would be appropriate for your child.

Return Policy

I have selected retail suppliers whose products I love, and use myself. I want you to love them too! I try to use the products I offer in massage sessions so that you can test them out before your purchase. I wish I could offer a blanket "if you don't like it, bring it back" policy, however, please remember that Sarapeutic Massage and Wellness is an independently owned small business. My return policy is designed to be fair to you, the purchaser, while also protecting me and my business. If you feel that it is unfair in your particular situation, please talk to me and let's work it out.

Sarapeutic maintains a 21 day return policy on retail purchases as follows:

  • Sealed essential oils and roll-ons.
  • Unused roll-on bottles.
  • Items which are damaged or defective and the damage or defect is not due to customer mishandling.

The following items are not eligible for return/refund unless damaged or defective and the damage or defect is not due to customer mishandling:

  • Special order linens. 
  • Opened essential oils or roll-ons, including White Flower oil (box shrink wrap)
  • Any custom made roll-on.
  • Inhalers/inhaler cotton.
  • Biofreeze products.

Gift certificates are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.
